In Uganda, many children attend schools that are in deplorable conditions. These schools lack basic infrastructure: there are no doors or windows, the floors are made of dirt, and the blackboards are broken or in pieces. The children are often forced to sit on the floor, as there are no desks or chairs, and the situation is truly heartbreaking.
Many children do not have access to proper school supplies, and for some, attending school is impossible because they don't even have clothes to wear. Teachers, too, are struggling. They are not receiving adequate salaries, and the schools themselves are operating under extreme poverty.
Most of these children likely don't have a breakfast to eat before coming to school, and the schools do not provide meals either. Learning on an empty stomach makes it almost impossible for them to focus and succeed.
Children Without Hunger is fighting against child hunger, but we are also committed to providing these children with the opportunity for a better future through education. Our goal is to offer schools with proper conditions, provide school materials, uniforms, and most importantly, meals for the children, so that they can learn and thrive.
However, we cannot do this alone. We rely on the support of donors and partners to ensure that this project continues and grows, impacting the lives of millions of children in need.

How CWH is Transforming the Lives of Children in Uganda
At Children Without Hunger (CWH), we believe that access to education, clean water, and nutritious food are the pillars for creating a better future for children in vulnerable situations. Our project in Uganda is a clear example of how we can have a profound and lasting impact on lives. Below, we outline how we are helping the community and children through our initiatives:
1. Quality Education
The construction of a school in Uganda will provide thousands of children with access to quality education, something that is often inaccessible in vulnerable areas. Our school will offer a safe and welcoming environment where children can learn and develop their skills for a better future. By ensuring that education is free and accessible, we help break the cycle of poverty and open doors to new opportunities.
2. Clean Water for All
One of the biggest challenges in many communities in Uganda is access to clean and safe water. In CWH's project, we will ensure that all students and residents of the school have access to clean drinking water. Installing potable water systems at the school and the shelter will prevent diseases, improve hygiene, and create a healthier environment for the children, helping them grow with more safety and health.
3. Nutritious School Meals
Nutrition is key for the growth and learning of children. At our school, children will have access to nutritious, regular school meals, ensuring they are properly nourished to study and develop. Additionally, by providing free meals, we are fighting malnutrition, a common problem in many parts of Uganda, and improving the overall health of the children.
4. Free School Supplies
One of the biggest barriers to education in many vulnerable regions is the cost of school supplies. To ensure that all children can learn, regardless of their financial situation, CWH will provide free school supplies. This will ensure that all children have what they need to study, participate in activities, and reach their full potential.
5. Impact on the Community
In addition to benefiting the children, the CWH project will have a positive impact on the local community. The construction of the school and the shelter will create local jobs during the construction and maintenance phases. We will also be training local educators to support children in vulnerable situations, both educationally and emotionally.
In the long term, CWH's project in Uganda will not only change the lives of the children directly served but also contribute to the sustainable development of the community, creating a more educated, healthy generation with better future prospects.

"Since the beginning of our journey in 2020, Children Without Hunger has been doing its best to help poor children facing extreme vulnerability. Each day brings new challenges, but we remain steadfast in faith, trusting in God’s strength and mercy to carry us forward. By the grace of the Lord, we are achieving victories little by little.
